It’s been a month of fasting and I am definitely excited to see so much emphasis in the media and also among government initiatives to remind Malaysians about reducing our food waste disposal and the need to use friendlier packaging. It’s a challenge for many of us to work on this habitual change to be more responsible consumers but it’s also a really small effort to start off with compared to the other more serious efforts that we need to be embarking on. Nevertheless, I hope we won’t stop at this effort and we need your support to continuously “walk the talk” and “practice what we preach”. This is a starting point, of which we need everyone’s joint forces, to make a transformational change in the country. If you’re keen to explore how you can get started with your community on making sustainable changes, we are always open to share some ideas and guide you through. The first step to embarking on a sustainable lifestyle is making connection. We’re here. And we’re looking forward to start a conversation with you.

EcoKnights Announces Finalists of the
Anugerah Hijau 2016!
We’ve received proposals from a total of 18 schools across Malaysia and we must say it was extremely difficult trying to determine which proposal impressed us the most. But still, we managed to narrow it down to the top 10 finalists. Finally!
Entitled ‘Protecting the Planet We Call Home’, this article talks about warriors for Mother Nature who do not expect much name recognition but rather get the public to recognise the environmental problems or issues which seem to not be able to stop arising time after time.
EcoKnights was mentioned in star2.com as well
regarding the harmful impacts of tourists on coral reefs when they aren’t snorkelling the proper way. We at EcoKnights, together with Reef Check Malaysia, are working toward developing the islanders’ capacity to manage their marine resources well.
