Part of the Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) mandate is to provide engaging opportunities for Malaysians to enhance their knowledge and skills on film making. In collaboration with the U.S. Embassy Kuala Lumpur, Point College Malaysia and EcoKnights, KLEFF will be organizing a full day workshop with American producer, editor and director, Lawrence Johnson.
The workshop is FREE, however registration is required as seats are limited to only 50 pax. Read more here on how to register for this workshop.
In the last one month, KLEFF has been busy hosting screenings in universities, colleges and also in corporate offices. These community screenings is one of the ways that we reach out to the public and corporations is through community screenings. Host a community screening in your residential area, office or school and let the power of films enhance the understanding on environmental issues.
All you really need to host a good screening is a venue, projector and screen, and a good sound system. Leave the rest to us.
The duration of a community screening can range from one hour to two hours, and is definitely a fun way to engage your audience to learn more about environmental issues through films. To host a community screening, send us an email (info@ecofilmfest.my) with details such as venue, dates (if possible a few options), time, and expected number of people, and we will get back to you soonest to arrange for the screening.
Earlier this month, KLEFF hosted a screening for about 30 children and parents associated with the National Association of Gifted Children Malaysia (NAGCM) at Sunway University. To read more about it, click here.
The KLEFF will take place in Publika Mall, Solaris from 16th to 18th October 2015. One of the interesting components of KLEFF is the Green Market. This year the Green Market aims to feature at least 70 vendors representing local and international environmental NGOs, green entrepreneurs and their range of sustainable services and products, and also corporate brands.
If you are interested to be an exhibitor for a minimal donation of RM100, you can send us an email at info@ecofilmfest.my and our officer-in-charge will get back to you. To waive the RM100 fee, we encourage the exhibitor to contribute a public workshop (minimum duration of 1 hour) which will be aligned to the overall KLEFF activities and programs. This way, you get to promote your efforts and engage with the public directly.
The KLEFF is a not-for-profit festival and as such, relies heavily on the kind donations and sponsorship of the public and corporate sectors. If you believe that the KLEFF is a positive and inspiring platform that benefits Malaysians from all walks of life, we look forward to exploring with your brands on ways to inspire sustainability to the public and at the same time, provide good return or investments to your company.
