The first quarter ended with full energy. March was definitely a month that had us all in the office grinding to the hour meeting deadlines for reports and preparing for our fourth anniversary of the Green Market in conjunction with Publika's EcoMonth celebration. It was also a month that positioned us on the recent spotlight in the news when we held a press conference to share our latest social survey on youth's perception on bauxite development in Pahang. Earlier in the month, we were also selected as a recipient of the social innovation award awarded by the Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce in recognition of our work in the social sphere. Our heartiest gratitude to the Chamber for supporting what we do.
Moving on in the next few months before Ramadhan greets us you will see us running weekly social responsibility activities and events with some local brands and companies. We hope that such engagements would encourage more corporate players to look at social responsibility as a long term effort to work on positive transformation to ignite the sustainable development of businesses, the environment and people.
On the research and education sector of EcoKnights, our team is cooking up a national perception study on nuclear development in Malaysia, and in addition, we will be intensifying some of our Sungai Bunus activities with the riverine stakeholders under the Local Agenda 21 and DBKL effort. We would like you to be part of this effort as well as we feel that river management and protection is the responsibility of everyone, not just the government. As such, do write in or email us if your university or company is keen to be part of the national River of Life effort as we feel the change that comes with better management of rivers is the change that is in your hands.
