Tis the season to be jolly, falalalalalala.
And it's also the season we tend to fall into the traps of mass consumerism with the year end sales, and the year end celebrations. If you're reading this, I really hope that we can strike this balance of celebration and minimizing our impact on the environment.
There are some exciting new activities coming up in January and we are gearing up to kickstart 2018 with a focus on growing ourselves internally with a lot of action-packed experiential and learning programs for our team. So watch that space as we share with you our journey.
Meanwhile, we are currently working on two surveys which are important for us to benchmark the understanding of Malaysians' views on sustainable consumption and production. If you would like to be part of this survey and be an active contributor, it's only a few clicks away.
The first survey aims to understand and analyze the perception of Malaysians on mining development in the country. This survey is funded by W-Bridge and is part of a collaborative social research with Waseda University. Don't fret as you don't need to know a lot about the mining industry to take the survey. That's the point! So head to this link and start the survey now.
The second survey is about understanding the behavior and attitudes of Malaysians towards sustainable consumption where EcoKnights is an enabler to the University of Twente of the Netherlands and is assisting in the collection of data for this research, lead by Koen Louis. So head to this link and start this survey now.
As we wind down the year, and end with a celebration of food and presents, the EcoKnights team would like to wish all our partners, donors, supporters, volunteer, interns, and friends, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I'm Sher Wyn and I majored in Corporate Communication in Sunway University. EcoKnights is the only place I applied for my internship placement. I did consider other organizations but I felt strongly towards being in EcoKnights for the season. I had to apply first to my School because EcoKnights wasn't in the list of companies/NGOs (that my seniors have went). It's a little crazy because students are adviced to apply to two/three places, and I wasn't sure whether my application would be approved as my degree is on communications. My first encounter with EcoKnights was in 2014 where I saw a Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) booklet in a coffee house in Klang, where I'm from. I was intrigued by the idea of a film festival... |
