As a reminder, the 7th Annual KLEFF will be held at MAP Publika from October 17th – 19th 2014. For more information, log on to www.ecofilmfest.my.
We’re only a month away now, so we have a ton of updates for you! Remember that there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved and tons of KLEFF features to get excited about!
This month’s newsletter features a recap of what we’ve been doing over the last month and a gives a preview of what’s coming up next.
KLEFF pitchIN Campaign
The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) is pleased to announce the launch of a pitchIN campaign to help fund the wonderful features of the 2014KLEFF.
PitchIN is a Malaysian based crowdfunding site that helps project owners raise funds for their creative projects. By utilizing the power of public support, pitchIN helps programs like the KLEFF reach its goals, both financially and otherwise.
The goal is to raise RM50K over a one month period so that the KLEFF can continue to produce festivals that are educational, entertaining, and that benefit the entire community. And although donors are supporting a good cause, each donation will receive gifts from EcoKnights as a token of appreciation!
Be sure to check out the site and watch the video of EcoKnights Founder and President, Yasmin Rasyid, explaining the importance of the KLEFF and public support.!
The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival could not survive without the help of our generous volunteers.
To help 2014 volunteers prepare for their duties at the KLEFF, organizing NGO EcoKnights has produced a volunteer briefing video!
Whether you’re volunteering this year or are interested in future festivals, be sure to check out our video! And while you’re there, feel free to peruse some of the other EcoKnights and KLEFF video content!
2014 Official KLEFF Guidebook
October is just around the corner and details of the 7th Annual Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) weekend are finally finalized! As with every year, the KLEFF team has produced an all-inclusive 2014 KLEFF Guidebook to provide festival goers and supporters with easy access to all things KLEFF!
This year’s guidebook features an assortment of articles – including an interview with EcoKnights President Yasmin Rasyid and a “Festival 101” guide to the KLEFF – information on all film screenings, workshops, musical performers and Eco-vendors, and much, much more.
You’ll also notice that the Guidebook features the wonderful peacock artwork provided by Portuguese artist Mariana Baldaia. The image has now become a prominent symbol of the 2014 KLEFF, so be on the lookout for them and our guide books all over KL!
Green Vibes will take place during the KLEFF on Sunday, 19th October 2014 from 3pm - 9pm. All performances will take place at The Bee in Publika Mall and are free to the public. Green Vibes is supported by Tanamera Tropical Spa Products.
The KLEFF would not exist were it not for the help and support of our sponsors and partners. Though it’s too late to contribute to the 2014, 7th Annual KLEFF, 2015 is right around the corner so now’s the time to think about partnership opportunities!
Apart from the Festival itself (this year being held 17-19th Oct 2014), the KLEFF also offers many additional marketing opportunities throughout the year. From the KLEFF Programme Guide (25,000 copies) to our monthly e-newsletter (that goes out to 7,000 ++ names in our database) the KLEFF provides an abundance of arenas in which your brand can be advertised.
The Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival (KLEFF) is organized by EcoKnights, a non-for-profit environmental organization registered with the Registrar of Societies Malaysia. EcoKnights' core focus areas are in environmental education and awareness using innovative and creative platforms such as the KLEFF.
